Federal govt has responsibility to resolve problems of provinces: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that it was the responsibility of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his team to understand and solve the problems of all the federating units in the federation of Pakistan.

Talking to the media in front of the Parliament House on Tuesday, he said that the federal government should not take a negative view of the sit-in of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and the opposition to draw the federal government attention to the problems being faced by the province.

Sirajul Haq disapproved the federal government’s attitude regarding the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor and said if the governments of Balochistan and KP were not taken into confidence in this respect, the objectives of the multi- billion mega project could not to be realized.

 The JI chief lauded the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army chief Raheel Sharif to Kabul. He said that the Pakistan government should invite Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Mujahideen leader Mullah Umar and Eng. Gulbadeen Hikmatyar to Islamabad and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should play his role in bringing lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.

He said it was the need of the hour that a proxy war in Afghanistan came to an end.

Earlier, the JI chief took the initiative for a dialogue between the federal government and the MPAs from Khyber Pk. and brought Federal Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif and the Chief Minister Khyber PK.  Pervez Khattak, to the negotiation table. He told newsmen on the occasion that problems were solved only through talks and not through violence. He said that the Chief Minister of Khyber P had presented his case in a most effective manner and added that the process would help strengthen democratic order in the country.
