ISLAMABAD: Joint Action Committee(JAC) of PIA has threatened to launch countrywide protest and halt the air operation if presidential ordinance about privatisation of the airline was not withdrawn within the next forty eight hours.
An emergency meeting of the Joint Action Committee was held here on Saturday during which it was emphasised that PIA was an asset of Pakistan and its privatisation would not be allowed at any cost.
Deputy Convener of the JAC strongly condemned the behaviour of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar alleging that he was desperate to dispose off the national assets under pressure of the IMF.
