Election Commission of Pakistan has issued notices to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq over violation of electoral code of conduct in Karachi.
According to ECP, Imran Khan as Member National Assembly (MNA) and Siraj ul Haq as Senator violated electoral code of conduct.
They are not eligible to run the election campaign being MNA and Senator according to laws.
ECP has given seven days to both leaders to submit their answers.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and Siraj-ul-Haq had led political rally in Karachi on November 28 ahead of local government elections Karachi.
