Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the party position of Local Government (LG) Elections in Islamabad.
As per details, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) grabbed 232 each out of 650.
Independent candidate emerged victorious on 148 seats while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamaat-e-Islami managed to get eight seats each.
The rulling party PML-N won 20 chairman seats followed by PTI with 16 while independent candidates got 14.
In general council seats, PMLN dominated with 77 seats while Independent and PTI got 39 each.
