Afghan President Ashraf Ghani arrived in Islamabad this morning to inaugurate jointly with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the Heart of Asia Conference being hosted by Pakistan.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif received the Afghanistan president at Nur Khan Airbase. Ghani received a 21-gun-salute on his arrival in Pakistan.
Others present on the occasion to greet him were Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Minister of State Anusha Rehman, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi and services chiefs.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Zakaullah and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman were also present at the airbase to welcome Ghani.
