Unofficial results of Local Government (LG) election in 12 districts of Punjab showed that ruling party Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led polls in the province while Independent candidates once again dominated second spot.
PMLN continue its domination in third phase of LG polls as it secured 419 seats according to unofficial results.
Independent candidates once again grabbed the seats in large number with 383 to secure the second spot while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged at third position with 121.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) so far managed to secure 30 seats in the election.
In Punjab, 1,69,86,946 are registered voters. Out of these, 94,47,933 are male voters while 75,39,13 are female. 14,470 polling stations were established in Punjab for 1,335 Union Councils (UC). 31,848 candidates battled for General seats in 12 districts of Punjab.
