Achakzai urges Pak-Afghan’s joint efforts for regional peace

QUETTA: Chief of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Mehmood Khan Achakzai has urged both Pakistan and Afghanistan for making joint efforts to restore regional peace and avoid interfering in each other’s affairs.

Addressing a big rally in Quetta on Wednesday, Mehmood Achakzai said that bilateral cooperation, intelligence sharing and supporting each other was vital for existence and stability of both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He said that interfering in internal matters of the neighbours lead to rifts and differences which needed to be avoided to secure national interests of Pakistan.

Achakzai said that Pakistan, China, Iran and Afghanistan through joint efforts can wipe out the menace of extremism from the region which would help in beginning of a new era of development and progress in the region.

The PkMAP chief said that Pakistan is our country and was independent in decision making. We were not bound to follow or comply with directives of any country, he asserted.

He stressed for transparent federation to pave the country on avenue of development and progress and avoid confrontations.

Mahmood Achakzai said that we respect all communities residing in Pakistan but foreign policy constituted by few individuals was not acceptable.

He said that peace was the only guarantee for in time and transparent completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Projects which will start a new era of development and progress besides creating new employment opportunities helping to overcome the unemployment and poverty.
