LAHORE: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has shown keenness to hold Pakistan-India bilateral cricket series, however they have asked Pakistan to play in India which Pakistan categorically rejected viewing the ongoing situation in the country.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shehryar Khan said BCCI chief Shashank Manohar had called him and said that India wanted to play cricket series with Pakistan in Mohali, Kolkata or any other city of their choice and Indian government had supported the decision.
‘We went to India in 2007 and 2012, why would we go a third time while India has not yet made a visit to Pakistan in the meanwhile,’ said Shehryar Khan and added that it had financial loss to Pakistan as well.
He said $50 million dollars loss would have to face on not playing in home ground.
He further said he could not himself decide about the Pakistan-India cricket series. He would have to ask the government first.
Replying a query, he said Umer Akmal reported immoral conduct was under investigation and he could not comment until the investigation was completed.
