Pilot of Shaheen Airline was drunk: medical report

ISLAMABAD: The pilot of Shaheen Airline was under the influence of alcohol when he skidded the airplane risking hundreds of lives on Nov 3, a medical report told on Friday. Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) plans for medical raids on airports to check airplanes’ staff after the flourishing of the report.

Media sources said emergency landing on Nov 3 had put lives of hundreds of people at risk. CAA report had held responsible the pilot of the aircraft for the dangerous landing which has become more elucidated.

The medical report revealed that the moment the pilot made landing, the ratio of alcohol in his blood was 83 percent and proof of his spending a restless night the same day has also surfaced after which the CAA has started operation across the country under the rules.
