CPEC to be fate-changer for billions of people: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be a fate-changer for billions of people in the region.

This he said on the occasion of an agreement to hand over six hundred and thrity seven acres of land to to China in Gwadar, where Chinese government and firms would establish a free zone.

‘CPEC is not just about infrastructure projects rather it is a framework for holistic development,’ the minister said on the occasion of an agreement to hand over 637 acres of land to China in Gwadar, where Chinese government and firms would establish a free zone.

He said equal emphasis is being given to social sectors for well-being of the people not only in Gawadar but across the country particularly in under-developed areas of Balochistan.
