Jahangir Tareen requests CEC to take notice of PM’s Lodhran visit

ISLAMABAD: Jahangir Tareen, the Central Organiser of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, on Friday sent an urgent letter to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and requested him to stop Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from visiting Lodhran ahead of by-election.

The letter stated that the Prime Minister would reportedly make a sudden visit to announce Rs 10 billion development package for Lodhran which could influence by-election in favour of PML-N candidate.

He urged the CEC to take immediate notice.
