ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic Naltar incident.
In separate statements both the leaders prayed for the departed souls and extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families.
The President stated that the government and people of Pakistan are deeply saddened over the tragic death of foreigners in the unfortunate incident and equally share the grief of the affected families.
The prime minister was enroute to Gilgit but cancelled his visit after the tragic incident.
He has directed the authorities to employ all available resources to transport the injured to hospitals and provide best medical care.
