RAWALPINDI: The recently constructed Metro Bus Rawalpindi Bridge felt the earthquake as well, as cracks emerged in part of the bridge.
The earthquake affected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital Peshawar most and its surroundings while damage was also reported in a few cities of Punjab.
At least 35 people were killed so far while the death toll expected to increase. Several people were injured. Only in Peshawar 100 injured were shifted to different hospitals.
In Khurram Agency at least 100 houses reportedly destroyed while 57 injured were shifted to local hospital.
It is pertinent to mention here that, magnitude 8.1 quake hit Pakistan at around 2:09 PM.
