Misbah, Younis extend Pakistan lead to 358 at stumps

Pakistan dominated day 3 of the 2nd Test, as they gained 358 runs lead against England in second innings on Saturday.

Pakistan after bowling out the visitors on 242, batted superbly as they put 222 on the board at stumps on loss of three wickets.

Skipper Misbah nearing to another Test hundred as he scored unbeaten 87 while Younis scored 71 not- out. Younis, 37, also become the first Pakistan batsmen to complete 9000 Test runs while overall 14th to achieve this milestone.

Hafeez scored brilliant 56 runs for the host.

Earlier, Wahab Riaz and Yasir Shah bowled superb spell claiming four wickets each to restrict England to 242 in first inning.

Joe Root showed some resistance with the bat as he made 88 along with Jonny Bairstow knocked 46.Skipper Alistair Cook once again played a handy knock of 65 for his side.
