Suspicious call from India threatens to blow up Sindh Governor House

KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies came into action when Sindh Governor House received a suspicious telephonic call from India to detonate the Governor’s residence which led an immediate security action in and around the sensitive national building.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) conducted sweeping up process inside the Sindh Governor House and declared the area ‘clear’. Sources said that the telephonic call was received on Friday night while the number was belonging to India. The caller threatened to detonate the Governor House through explosives.

Sensitive institutions tracked down the location of the call which was revealed in New Delhi, India with the caller identity Yash while the caller used Voda cellular network. Security agencies have apprised central intelligence institutions pertaining the suspicious call and beefed up the security measures in and outside the Governor House.

Moreover, Additional Inspector General Karachi ordered CID to investigate the phone call. Additional deployments were made for increasing security measures through security cameras and snap checking commenced by the law enforcers in the Red Zone.
