JACOBABAD: A bomb blast claimed lives of at least 22 persons including five children and injured dozens others on national highway in Jacobabad on Friday.
‘The blast took place near a park in Lashari Town after the procession had passed safely from there. It left 16 persons dead and several others injured,’ Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad Shahzaman Khuhro said.
The DC said it would be before time to claim it a suicide blast, however investigation was underway.
According to the residents, the dead and injured were being shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities and medical treatment respectively.
