Wasim, Shoaib refuse to commentate in 5th ODI

Following International Cricket Council (ICC) withdrawal of Aleem Dar from India and South Africa series, TV commentators Legendary Wasim Akram and world fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar also withdrew themselves from commentary for the fifth ODI which is scheduled to be played in Mumbai.

Both Wasim and Shoaib are in India, performing their duties as commentator during the series which host is trailing 2-1 against South Africa, who are pity concerned with Shiv Sena’s attack on Board of Cricket Control India (BCCI) headquarter ahead of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan and his counterpart Shashank Manohar.

Aleem Dar received threats from Shiv Sena After the attack on BCCI headquarters which led ICC withdrawing the former umpire of the year from the series.

Due to security concern in Mumbai, Pakistani legend Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar also withdrew themselves from commentary in the city which will host fifth and final ODI.

However, PCB chairman and BCCI chairman would meet in Delhi after cancelations of talks in Mumbai. They will discuss Pakistan and India bilateral series which is expected to take place in UAE in December.
