Day 1 lunch: Hafeez, Malik survive first session

ABU DHABI: Pakistan star all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez on Tuesday completed 3,000 runs in Test cricket as Pakistan scored 82 on loss a wicket at lunch.

The all-rounder achieved this milestone in the first Test against England. He took 45 matches to complete 3,000 runs at an average of 39.07 per innings.

Hafeez has also picked up 52 wickets with best figures of 4/16 before he was banned for bowling for a year by International Cricket Council (ICC) due to illegal action.

He is still unbeaten at the crease on 44 along with Shoaib Malik who scored 36.

Pakistan scored 82 runs on loss of a wicket at Lunch day 1. Shan Masood was the man dismissed by James Anderson who picked up his 414th wicket of his career tying with the legendary Wasim Akram.
