KABUL: Court has awarded death sentence to four convicts in Farkhaunda lynching case in Afghanistan; while eight others were given 16 years jail.

28-year old woman Farkhunda was beaten to death by an angry mob for burning the Holy Quran in Afghanistan. But some witnesses said that she had not burnt the Holy book.

Another decision is expected on Sunday in which 19 police personnel were accused for neglecting their duties. The deceased was beaten to death before her body was driven over by a car, dragged through the streets and then set on fire.
