TORKHAM: The Afghan nationals without valid travel documents restricted to enter Pakistan from Saturday (today) following security concerns.

Official sources have said that the Afghan nationals without travel documents will be issued special permits at Torkham. The permit will be valid for two months. This decision has been taken due to security concerns.

Torkham is one of the major border crossings between Afghanistan and Pakistan, located on the Durand Line border. It connects Nangarhar province of Afghanistan with Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is the busiest dry port of entry between the two countries, serving as a major transporting, shipping, and receiving site.
