ISLAMABAD: It is revealed in the Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) report that the Baldia Town factory fire eruption is not an incident but it was put on fire by an extortionist group.

A private TV quoting its sources told that JIT has completed the initial report after recording statements of the Baldia Town factory owners.

The report was completed by JIT after four-day investigation from the owners Arshad Bhaila and Shahid Bhaila in Dubai which include video recording as well.

The owners recorded their statements separately at the Pakistani Consulate.

It was revealed in the report that the factory was deliberately set on fire by extortionist group as per their plane, sources said.

The four-member investigation team, headed by DIG Muneer Sheikh and DIG Sultan Khawaja, had arrived in Dubai on Sunday to record the statements.

In 2012, over 280 people were killed when the garment factory was burnt down in the Baldia Town area of Karachi.
