LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan have announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates in by elections on NA-122 and PP-147 elections.
Talking to media at JI headquarters, party’s Lahore chief Mian Maqsood Ahmed said the decision was made after concerning with the top leadership.
He said they support PTI because of same demand of local bodies elections in Punjab.
On the other hand PTI leader, Chaudhry Sarwar thanked JI for the support and announced to that they will support JI candidate in Mansoora.
He termed 11 October election as referendum.
Sarwar said PTI is also in talks with several other parties for the support in LB polls.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the election on NA-122 and PP-147 will be contested on October 11.
