KARACHI: Pakistan superstar batsmen Younis Khan has expressed his desire to perform like legendary Hanif Mohammad.
Talking to media after meeting the living legend Hanif Mohammad, said he was tough to bat like Hanif.
Younis said He is very thankful to Hanif Mohammad as he came specially to appreciate my batting performance against Sri Lanka back in 2009 but he was unfortunate that he could not break his 337 runs record, the highest runs by Pakistani in Test innings.
“I got out on 313 which had disappointed Hanif Mohammad.” Khan said.
Younis requested government to support Hanif Mohammad cricket academy so that young cricketers can get a chance to learn extra ordinary skills from legends like Hanif Mohammad.
It is pertinent to mention here that Younis Khan is just a few runs away to become the leading Test run scorer for Pakistan surpassing the great Javed Miandad.
Younis is very hopeful to do so in the series against England in United Arab Emirates.
