PIA dispute: 11 more flights cancelled

KARACHI:  The ongoing dispute between Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and PIA Airlines Pilots Association (PALPA) has led to cancellation of another eleven flights on Friday, causing immense problems for the passengers.

The dispute started when the airline revoked licenses of two pilots, forcing the PALPA to announce non-cooperation with PIA authorities.

According to PIA spokesperson, talks are underway with PALPA on the Working Agreement.

According to sources, PK-302 flight from Karachi to Lahore, PK-303 from Lahore to Karachi, PK-295 from Rahim Yar Khan to Abu Dhabi was cancelled today while PK-247 from Lahore to Damam, PK702 from Manchester to Islamabad was delayed by one hour and PK-584 from Karachi to Dera Ismail Khan faced two-hour delay.
