LODHRAN: Ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) received a major shock by the rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as two PML-N local leaders changed their loyalty to PTI before upcoming by-election in NA-154 constituency of Lodhran, Punjab.
Former PML-N leader and four-time winner in NA-155 constituency, Akhtar Khan Kanju, formally joined PTI while former provincial minister of PML-N from PP-207 constituency, Zawar Waraich, also announced his affiliation with the PML-N rivals.
On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Akhlaq Ahmed Guddu along with his 20 aides announced to join PTI after meeting with Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Mian Aslam Iqbal.
Earlier, two former lawmakers of PML-N had also announced to support PTI in the constituency.
