Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission’s Muhammad Naeem said Pakistan envisages nuclear power generation capacity of 40,000 MW under its Nuclear Energy Vision-2050.
He was addressing the 59th IAEA General Conference at Vienna in Austria.
Naeem said that PAEC has draw out a plan to generate 8000 MW electricity through nuclear means that will help overcoming the energy crises in the country.
He said that Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission was currently providing a vital service to the nation through its eighteen oncology medical hospitals where about eighty percent cancer patients of the country were being treated each year.
