ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday said that no seminary was linked with terrorism and added that they were supporting Pakistan government and army over war on terror
Nisar said that all religious scholars were united to nip the terrorism in the bud and to introduce ‘A’ and ‘O’ level education system in the seminaries.
While addressing to media followed by a meeting with the religious scholars in Islamabad, he said that they would introduce a registration form in collaboration with the seminaries and set the procedure of funding to the seminaries . He said that the purpose of the meeting was to expedite National Action Plan. Nisar said that a committee was formed to ease the registration process and added that seminaries could receive donations only through banks.
Nisar said that they would hold a meeting with all chief ministers on September 10. He was of view that they would launch indiscriminate operations against people involved in the terrorism.
