ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has chaired a high-level meeting with renowned clerics of different schools of thoughts in Islamabad in order to hold discussions pertaining to seminaries with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair.
The high-level meeting was attended by renowned clerics including Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Maulana Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Muhammad Hanif Jalandari, Sajid Mir, Syed Muhammad Najfi and Maulana Ataur Rehman, Radio Pakistan reported.
Moreover, Federal Minister for Interior Ch Nisar Ali Khan, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Minister of State for Interior Balighur Rehman and Senior Government officials were also present in the meeting.
During his address, PM Nawaz said that all should have to coordinate each other for future of the coming generation of the Pakistan. He added that backbone of militants has been broken following Operation Zarb-e-Azb as collecting significant achievements during decisive war against terrorism in the tribal agency North Waziristan.
He said that the government is implementing 20-point National Action Plan (NAP) and the authorities sought consultations with the clerics over the plan.

It was recommended to make educational reformations across the country instead of Madrasahs’ reformation. The recommendation was approved unanimously by the meeting participants. PM appointed interior minister Chaudhry Nisar as supervisor of the affairs relating to seminaries.
