CDWP approves two LNG power plants for Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Tuesday approved two power plants of 2400 megawatt for Punjab. The plants would generate electricity with the consumption of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

The CDWP headed by Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal recommended another project of worth3.5 billion rupees to Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) for final approval.

The project will be completed within 18 months at Balloki, District Kasur.
