PPP’s Dr Asim Hussain arrested, questioned by NAB

KARACHI: Former Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain was questioned by officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday.

According to the sources, NAB officials arrived at the former minister’s office in Karachi’s upscale Clifton area where they were questioning him.

Dr. Hussain has previously served as the federal minister for petroleum during the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government.

He is currently serving as the chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Sindh.

Hussain was out of the country and had just recently arrived in Karachi. It was unclear what he was being questioned about.
