Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Saddiq has announced to go the Supreme Court (SC) against verdict of the election tribunal over NA-122 vote rigging case.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate and current Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Saddiq decided to go SC to challenge the tribunal’s verdict that annulled election and ordered re-polling in his constituency.
Saddiq said that he would not perform his duties as Speaker in the National Assembly (NA) till verdict of the Supreme Court (SC) in the case.
Earlier, Justice Ghulam Hussian Awan-led election tribunal unveiled verdict on Saturday of vote rigging case that nullified election and ordered re-polling in NA-122 constituency.
