Alkhidmat, British Medical Journal sign landmark health agreement

An agreement has been finalized between Alkhidmat Karachi and the British Medical Journal (BMJ) have entered into an agreement in the health sector under which the two parties will collaborate on research, quality, and publications in the healthcare field.

According to the agreement, the first phase will focus on diabetes, and doctors will be enrolled in a six-month certificate course. Upon completing this course, doctors will gain awareness about diabetes and take measures for its prevention. Later, the program will be expanded to other healthcare sectors across Pakistan.The agreement was signed by Dr. Saqib Ansari, Director of Medical Services at AlkhidmatKarachi, and Khalid Qureshi, Country Head of Kupgrade. The ceremony was attended by Alkhidmat’s Chief Executive Naved Ali Baig, Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, Director of Diagnostic Services Dr. Azimuddin, other officials from Alkhidmat’s Health department, Dr. Fahim Ahmed, Consultant at Kupgrade, and other dignitaries.On this occasion, Khalid Qureshi, Country Head of Kupgrade, said, “We have thoroughly reviewed Al-Khidmat’s work.

Alkhidmatis actively working in the health sector across the country and has a vast network. Over 350 consultants are associated with Alkhidmat’shospitals and institutions. Collaborating with such an extensive network will be significant for us.” Khalid Qureshi added that in the future they would expand their work with Alkhidmatin the health sector, which will also aid in disease treatment and diagnosis.Naved Ali Baig, Chief Executive of AlkhidmatKarachi, briefed the visiting delegation from the British Medical Journal on Alkhidmat’ssocial services, including medical services.

He stated that the agreement between the British Medical Journal and Alkhidmat was a welcome development, helping create more opportunities for work in the health sector.
