Relations between the two bowlers have never been cordial in the past, but Shoaib Akhtar has always admired Mohammad Asif’s grip and bowling.
Before the 2007 World Cup, there was an unpleasant incident between the two cricketers in which Shoaib Akhtar of Rawalpindi Express hit Mohammad Asif with the bat, after which both were removed from the squad and sent back home.
