PTI founder Imran Khan confirmed the meeting of party chairman Barrister Gohar with the Army Chief in Peshawar.
In the courtroom of Adiala Jail, the PTI founder had an informal conversation with the journalists, in which the newsmen asked him about the meeting between Barrister Gohar and the Army Chief, to which he expressed hesitation and said that he did not know the details.
However, later Imran Khan confirmed Barrister Gohar’s meeting with the Army Chief and said that ‘meeting with the Army Chief is a welcome thing. If any dialogue has started then it is welcome, it is good for Pakistan, we want if there were negotiations about the stability of Pakistan.
The PTI founder said that the establishment should talk to us. I never said that talks are closed. The doors were closed from the other side, now if the talks have started, it will be for the stability of Pakistan itself.
On the other hand, Barrister Gohar also confirmed and said that he and Ali Amin Gandapur had held separate meetings with the Army Chief.
He said that in the meeting with the Army Chief, all issues related to the stability of the country were discussed. A positive response was also received from the other side in the meeting, direct negotiations with the establishment are welcome and hopefully the situation will improve now, he added.
It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman had denied the meeting with the Army Chief yesterday.
