A new report has revealed that Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg has informed underperforming employees about layoffs.
According to a foreign news agency, in an internal memo, Mark Zuckerberg told his staff that he had decided to raise performance standards by firing poor performers.
The memo further stated that Zuckerberg said that the company typically “manages out” (i.e., assigns jobs to, or fires) people whose performance does not meet expectations over a one-year period.) but this time there is a possibility of layoffs based on performance soon.
Meta has said it will cut the same number of jobs like 2024, but its target is to achieve 10 per cent of the current performance cycle, which means about five per cent of current employees will lose their jobs this time. .
Mark Zuckerberg said that Meta will provide generous compensation to employees.
