Hamas says Gaza ceasefire agreement paved way for liberation of Palestine

The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas credited the Gaza ceasefire agreement with Israel to the Palestinian people and their resistance.

According to an international media report, Hamas said that the ceasefire agreement with Israel to stop the war in Gaza is the result of the Palestinian people’s “persistence” and its own “resistance”.

“The cease-fire agreement is the result of the steadfastness of our great Palestinian people and the courageous resistance in the Gaza Strip for more than 15 months,” a spokesperson said.

He said that “after the agreement, the path for the freedom of Palestine has been paved according to public aspirations”.

Speaking to the media, Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri has described the ceasefire agreement as an important success and said that it is an expression that the Israeli army has failed to achieve any of its goals.

Earlier, in a press conference in Doha, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani announced the Gaza ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel and said that the two sides agreed on the agreement in the joint mediation of Qatar, Egypt, and the United States.

He said that under the agreement, there will be an exchange of prisoners for a ceasefire and aid will be delivered to Gaza while the government of Israel will take steps.
