Nation marks Quaid-e-Azam's 148th birth anniversary today

The nation is marking the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today with enthusiasm and patriotic zeal.

The day commenced with special prayers at mosques across the country for the  prosperity, progress and unity of Pakistan.

A change of guard ceremony was also taken place at the Mazar-e-Quaid mausoleum in Karachi.

On the occasion, special ceremonies and activities are being organised nationwide, including conferences, seminars, debates, cultural events, and exhibitions.

These ceremonies will shed light on the life, struggles, and achievements of Quaid-i-Azam, while also promoting his vision for Pakistan as a progressive, inclusive, and democratic state.

On the other hand, schools and colleges are holding debates, art competitions, and essay writing contests focusing on his leadership and principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

Television and radio channels will air special programmes and documentaries throughout the day while newspapers will publish special supplements.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari has called for upholding the values of social justice, economic equity, and the rule of law and the need to invest in the education of our youth, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to lead Pakistan into a brighter future.
