Google Chrome's new AI feature protects from fraudulent websites

The world’s most popular browser, Google Chrome, is experimenting with a new AI tool that will help prevent online scams.

The feature is currently in trial phase. This feature analyzes web pages and determines if they are suspicious. This tool uses an AI technique called Large Language Model (LLM) on devices.

This feature was first reported by a channel Leopeva64. This channel regularly highlights web browser features that are available for trial.

Leopeva64 discovered a flag on the browser that can be enabled called ‘Client Side Detection Brand and Intent for Scam Detection’. It is present in the latest version of Chrome’s experimental browser canary.

H-Flag examines the content of any web page and finds out what it is trying to do and whether that content is in line with the intended purpose or brand of the website.
