India's 185-year old historic Noori Masjid demolished

Under the Modi government, India has become the worst country to deprive religious and ethnic minorities of their basic human and religious rights.

According to Indian media, a part of the Noori Mosque built 185 years ago in the state of Uttar Pradesh was demolished.

In the name of demolishing encroachments with the blessing of Modi government, the machinery of the municipal department was used to demolish a part of the mosque.

It should be remembered that the Supreme Court of India had prohibited tampering with any religious place and driving bulldozers at such places.

The Noori Masjid committee said that it has filed an application in the high court to stop the demolition of a part of the mosque.

The head of the mosque committee further said that the local authorities did not listen to them and did not even wait for the decision of the court.

The district administration said that this part of the mosque was built later and no approval was taken from the concerned institutions.

The authorities said that they had given a notice on August 17 to demolish the illegal part of the mosque itself within a month, which the mosque committee did not follow.

The head of the mosque committee said that the road here was also built in 1956 and no part of the mosque was declared illegal at that time.

Remember that the Modi government is running a so-called anti-encroachment campaign through local bodies to demolish mosques in India.
