Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared the call for civil disobedience as anti-Pakistan.

Speaking at the Federal Cabinet meeting, the prime minister said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy were in touch for the withdrawal of Pakistanis from Syria.

Talking about the country’s situation, Shehbaz said that political stability is important for the economic stability of Pakistan. Azerbaijan has invested Rs2 billion in Pakistan and the weekly inflation rate has decreased to 3.5 per cent.

The prime minister termed the call for civil disobedience as anti-Pakistan and said that there is no bigger enmity with Pakistan than the civil disobedience.

There was a conspiracy against the country by attacking Islamabad. I have issued directives to take the culprits to the task, he added.

Earlier, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the former ruling party’s civil disobedience’s call is destined to fail just like its “previous attacks on Islamabad” as the “state is providing everything to its people”.

“Civil disobedience [movement] becomes successful when the people are not dependent on the state,” said Asif speaking to Geo News, adding that the state is providing all facilities to the nationals.

“No one would deprive family from these facilities,” he said.
