Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member of the National Assembly, Sher Afzal Marwat, has said that he and KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur were not in favour of the D-Chowk protest.
Speaking to media, the 53-year-old politician from Lakki Marwat disclosed that Gandapur wanted workers to remain restricted to the Kulsoom Hospital instead of advancing towards D-Chowk.
But, the PTI workers were determined to proceed to D-Chowk, he noted.
“We went to stage a protest, but what can we do in front of bullets?”
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, the PTI leader alleged that innocent young men were killed during the protest. He claimed that 12 PTI workers lost their lives during the protest in Islamabad, referring to them as martyrs.
