KARACHI: Karachi school van owners have gone on strike against the decision of traffic police which order them to change their van colours and remove Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) kits for their vehicles.

The van drivers are protesting on city’s busiest road Shahrah-e-Faisal and demanding traffic police to take back their decision.

Furthermore they threaten not to bring their vehicles on road and said they will continue to protest till their demands get accepted.

On this occasion Van Association president said that from today (Friday) not a single school van will be on roads of Karachi.

He said it is not possible to change the colour of their vans and run them on petrol or diesel.

Convert every vehicle of the city on petrol or diesel first then ask van drivers, he said.

The protestors also announced to stage the protest on press club as well.
