Renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Maulana Tariq Jameel while responding to the fatwa of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CCI), has said that if VPN is haram, then the use of mobile phones is also haram.
A few days ago, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) had declared Virtual Private Network (VPN) as haram, after which a new debate broke out in the country.
On the other hand, PTA has made VPN registration easier by blocking a large number of unregistered VPNs
Talking to a private TV channel in this regard, Maulana Tariq Jamil said, “I don’t know which Shariah Council has issued the fatwa. If VPN is haram, then mobile is also haram because there are so many things to see without VPN in it.
The famous preacher of Islam said: “I think the fatwa regarding VPN as haram is not correct, I think it is narrow-minded, it is not correct.”
