The time between 1 and 4 pm in the day is when many people experience strange lethargy and sleepiness and find it difficult to keep their eyes open.
In such a state, physical energy is felt less, while there may be a feeling of fatigue.
But in middle age or old age, if afternoon drowsiness is experienced daily, it can be a sign of a serious disease.
This sign indicates that you are at high risk of developing dementia.
This was revealed in a new medical study conducted in France.
A study from Tours University Hospital found that people who experienced excessive afternoon sleepiness and a lack of feelings of excitement had a 36 per cent increased risk of developing dementia.
The study included 445 people with an average age of 76 years.
The health of these individuals was reviewed on an annual basis from 2011 to 2018.
