Foreign Office Spokesperson  Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said that Pakistan has a long-standing relationship with the US, which is based on non-interference in internal affairs.

The spokesperson for the Foreign Office while giving a weekly briefing said that Pakistan has demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, strongly condemning the Israeli aggression. Islamabad supports a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue and the United Nations should play its role to stop genocide in Gaza. She urged that Israel’s genocide in Gaza should be investigated under war crimes.

She further said that we welcome the report of the United Nations on the situation in Gaza, because of such attacks, Palestinians seeking urgent medical assistance are facing difficulties in getting help.

While discussing the situation in Occupied Kashmir, the spokesperson said that we have serious concerns over the declining health of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik and the cases filed against him. We demand the immediate release of Yasin Malik from the Indian jail.

She said that there is serious concern over the hunger strike of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik and added that health facilities should be provided to him immediately.
