US elections: Republicans take clear lead in House of Representatives

Counting of votes and results are continuing after the polling time has ended in several states for the election of the US president, while voting is still being done in some states.

Among the dice-rolling states are North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, where votes are still being counted after polling time has ended.

Donald Trump has received 230 and Kamala Harris 192 electoral votes out of 538 in the US presidential election.

According to the results so far, the Republicans have won 230 seats and the Democrats have won 192 seats in the House of Representatives.

Republicans have 50 seats and Democrats have 42 seats in the Senate.
