Sheikh Waqas says PTI to oppose constitutional amendments after reports of further tweaks

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sheikh Waqas Akram has said that they will stand in opposition to the 27th or 28th constitutional amendment.

Speaking on local TV show, he said that the head of PTI legal committee is Salman Akram Raja.

Akram further said that Faisal Chaudhry is respectable but he was not appointed as a lawyer in any case of the PTI founder  and Bushra Bibi.

He said that the PTI founder had said that no one from his family will join politics.

It should be noted that yesterday in the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the news of agreement to bring the 27th constitutional amendment came out.

Later, Prime Minister’s advisor Rana Sanaullah while speaking to the media said that whatever will happen with regard to the 27th amendment will be done by consensus. However, he dismissed the rumours regarding the consensus on the 27th amendment in the meeting between the prime minister and the PPP chairman.
