KARACHI: Prime Minister Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while lauding the efforts of law enforcement agencies for restoration of peace in Karachi reiterated his government’s resolve to fight terrorism in all forms.
“Militant wings in political parties shall not be tolerated and we have a Supreme Court judgement which guides us in this regard”, said Nawaz while presiding over the apex committee meeting.
He maintained that traders, political elite and media were all on one page regarding the Karachi operation which he said has discouraged the terrorists.
About the attack on MQM leader Rashid Godil’s life, Sharif claimed that the government will bring the culprits of the gun attack to justice at any cost.
He made it clear that the operation is not against any political party and will not end until the elimination of the last terrorist in Karachi.
Earlier, the PM inaugurated the K-2 power project at Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (Kanupp).
K-2 power plant, the largest in the country, will generate 1,100MW electricity upon completion.
