Cellular services will be suspended for four days

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on Wednesday announced to suspend the cellular services amid the upcoming the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit will take place in the federal capital from October 14 to 17.

To ensure continued support for citizens, the services will still be available at liaison offices in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Gujrat only.

Officials urge individuals requiring consular assistance to visit these liaison offices for necessary services.

Moreover, citizens in twin cities – Rawalpindi and Islamabad – will enjoy three-day public holidays from October 14 to 16.

The notification, issued by the Cabinet Division after receiving approval from the prime minister, confirms that both twin cities will observe these holidays to facilitate security arrangements and ensure smooth proceedings during the high-profile international event.
