Prominent religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik has said that unfortunately, social media is spreading more evil than good.
He said that the social media should be used for Islamic Da’wah. Muslims today are not researching the skills of artificial intelligence, while this is the future, he added.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the Governor House in Karachi, the renowned scholar said that in the beginning his Urdu was not that good but today after 12 years he is talking in Urdu and requested to the audience that if any mistake is made it should be ignored.
He said that in the current era, social media is getting the most support and it is important to know how to use social media for the spread of religion. The spread of the message of Allah and the Messenger will be a cause of good in the hereafter, he added.
Dr Zakir further said that it is unfortunate that most madressahs or Islamic institutions do not provide awareness regarding modern media technology. Various social media links should be used for Islamic education and promotion.
He said that Muslims are not doing research on artificial intelligence at all as it can be the best tool. Pakistan needs to acquire expertise in the field of AI because Pakistanis have a passion for promoting religion. . He said that Pakistan is the only Muslim country in the world which has nuclear power.
